Terms and Conditions

Sulis Guides Ltd acts as agents in contracting on your behalf with the proprietors of hotels, restaurants, visitor attractions and transport services for the provision of and payment for the services offered by such persons whose general and particular contractual terms and conditions apply.

All descriptions provided in itineraries are given in good faith and are believed to be accurate at the date the tour itinerary is prepared. However, Sulis Guides Ltd cannot accept responsibility for any variation made after that date, which is beyond our control. In addition no responsibility is accepted by Sulis Guides Ltd for the negligence and wrongful acts or contractors and suppliers concerned involved or any breaches of contract by them.

Changes to Tours
Sulis Guides Ltd will make every effort to adhere to the agreed tour itinerary. In the rare circumstances that we have to make alterations to the tour, we undertake to inform the client or their travel agent as soon as possible. If a tour is booked through a travel agent, then Sulis Guides Ltd will work through that travel agency, who will respond on behalf on their clients. If clients are late by more than 45 minutes, extra charges may be incurred to cover guides’ waiting times.

Deposits for tours are taken in advance when pre-booking of hotel accommodation, transport services or restaurants requires pre-payment. The amount of deposit will vary dependent on the tour but Sulis Guides Ltd will set out payments clearly at an early stage when developing a tour. In the case of advance payments, all monies pre-paid are held on deposit until the conclusion of the tour.

Any balance or full payments will be due after the conclusion of the tour. Payment will be by invoice and our terms are net over 15 days. Cheques (Sterling only) should be made payable to Sulis Guides Ltd.

Sulis Guides Ltd operates the following cancellation policy. A cancellation becomes effective on the date it is received in writing and the following cancellation charges will come into effect. If a tour is cancelled 28 days or less before it is due to start Sulis Guides Ltd will retain 50% of the fee. If it is cancelled 48 hours or less prior to the start time then Sulis Guides Ltd retains the full fee. Sulis Guides Ltd will invoice the client or their travel agency accordingly. If payment for any hotel, transportation, theatre or other bookings have been made on behalf of the client, then Sulis Guides Ltd will make every effort to obtain a refund whose general and particular contractual terms and conditions apply. In the unlikely event that this is not possible then these costs will be charged to the client.

Sulis Guides Ltd accepts no responsibility for cancellation, lost luggage, medical expenses, etc. We recommend that you take out full insurance to cover these eventualities for the period you are away from home. Any baggage and personal effects shall at all times and in all circumstances be at the owner's risk.

If you have cause for complaint, you should notify Sulis Guides Ltd immediately if possible and every effort will be made to rectify the situation. Any other complaints should be notified in writing within 10 days of the end of the tour and we will make every effort to reach an amicable settlement. If you have not contacted Sulis Guides Ltd within this time, then you will have been taken to have waived any claim that you may have had against Sulis Guides Ltd. This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
