His previous career includes 30 years as a Cartographic Surveyor with the Ordnance Survey, and he recently gained a 1st Class Honours degree in History with Education. Nick Gane
Nick Gane

Nick was born at Glastonbury, in the heart of Somerset, and now lives between Bristol and Bath. The South West of England is home. History and culture has always been his passion, even through his years as an automotive business management consultant. He has guided in Bath since 2006 and, as a Blue Badge Guide, delights in being able to show visitors all aspects of this region and to make each visit enjoyable and memorable.

Maeve Hamilton Hercod
Maeve Hamilton Hercod

Maeve came to Bath 6 years ago after many years abroad. During that time she worked in the travel industry, broadcasting and ran sailing courses. A Blue Badge Guide for 13 years in the South East and South West of England, she believes that her time abroad helps her to see Britain through a visitor’s eyes. She still enjoys overseas travel as a tour manager, both in Europe and further afield, but always looks forward returning to Bath - it’s probably the most beautiful city she’s lived in.
